People plant Clusia hedges because they’re insect free but that's exactly the problem, nothing can eat it. Did you know that baby birds can’t eat seeds and can eat over 6000 caterpillars before leaving the nest? By planting exotics that don’t feed the ecosystem you're creating a food desert and literally starving the birds out of your neighborhood. Plant natives and save the wildlife.
